5 Football Kits That Are Already Making the 2023/24 Season Look Exciting

By Annika Caniza - June 07, 2023
Call us excited, but yes, we are already choosing some of our favorite football kits for the 2023/24 season.

For football fans, waiting for the off-season months to end is like waiting for a pot of water to boil — the wait feels never-ending. But thankfully, there are a handful of things that fans can enjoy even in the months of quiet, such as blockbuster transfers, new signings, and of course, kit reveals.

When a football team drops a new kit, the release instantly becomes a big deal that steals headlines for a day. Given that kit sales are a huge part of how clubs drive revenue, the kits always need to be received well by the fans, and so there is plenty of discussions that go around with every reveal.

While there are still many clubs that have yet to reveal their armor for the 2023/24 season, these are the football kits we are already loving.

When you are representing a club as historic as Liverpool, simplicity is key. All you really need is the club’s iconic red color on your kit and you’ve got an instant classic. And after falling out of the top four in the Premier League last season, for the upcoming year, Liverpool has actually chosen to bring back a classic winning look.

Nike has taken inspiration from their FA Cup winners’ kit from 1974, incorporating a bold white collar and sleeve cuffs that pair perfectly with the deep red club color. But the devil is in the details, as this new kit boasts intricate designs when you take a closer look.

It’s impossible to think of a Juventus kit without the big, bold black-and-white stripes, as it has become a part of the club’s identity since the early 1900s. But this year, the team’s new kit design is adding a playful twist to their distinguished design.

For the club’s 2023/24 home kit, Juventus’ black-and-white pattern will take on a softer finish, adding a brushed texture to the stripes to emulate the stripes of a zebra and represent their players’ “artistry” on the pitch.

Once upon a time, when Paris Saint-Germain’s stars were among the likes of Ronaldinho and Gabriel Heinze, their kits looked very similar to the club’s kit for the upcoming 2023/24 season. With the deep blue club color contrasted by a stripe of red with white highlights down the side to highlight the crest, we can almost see their former stars wearing this very kit.

As France’s biggest football club, it seems only fitting that they don the colors of the French flag, this time, paying homage to their icons from the early 2000s.

While we always love Bayern’s iconic red kits, we have to say that we love that this year, they have decided to go with a white base instead of a red one.

Although Bayern is well-known for donning the bright color red to represent the club’s colors, the kit they wore when they won their first-ever Bundesliga title was actually predominantly white with red sleeves and a red collar — much like their new 2023/24 home kit, an homage to their club’s history.

Of all the kits that have been released (so far!) our favorite has to be Ajax’s away kit for the 2023/24 season. The jersey features a white base with very soft graphics in pink and green, with deep navy blue details for the logos and crest — a clean yet playful look.

This is also the first time Ajax will be wearing white on their away kit since the 1988/1989 season. After 1989, there were strict rules that meant that Ajax needed an away kit that contrasted the colors of their home kits. However, with the third kit now available for all teams, Ajax is now able to wear white once again sporting their away kit.

Which one is making you feel excited for the upcoming season?
