As more and more Filipinos embark on weekly runs, here are some stores they can check out for a new pair of running shoes.
Slowly but surely, the running craze continues to take over the Philippines, and it’s easy to see why. After all, it’s an activity that doesn’t need much to get into, and it could be as simple as getting up in the morning and traversing a route that you planned out earlier.
As more and more Filipinos begin their “running era”, some may already be looking to invest in dedicated equipment, starting with a trusty pair of shoes. With this, here are some stores that Filipino runners may check out for their first pair or two of dedicated running shoes.
Runnr
Runnr is a specialty store managed by the same company behind Toby’s Sports, and offers dedicated brands such as Hoka, ON Running, and Brooks alongside household names including Adidas, Nike, and Saucony. Branches, are located in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Ayala Center Cebu, and Ayala Mall Centrio in Cagayan De Oro.
A huge plus for Runnr is their FootWorx Fit Process, an in-store procedure that helps customers find the running shoes best suited for their needs, whether it’s a daily exercise or even a marathon that they are gearing up for.
Toby’s Sports
Accessibility should be a major selling point for Toby’s, having established branches nationwide as a one-stop destination for all things sports. While their running shoe catalog is limited, it’s good enough to give aspiring runners a fair amount of options when choosing their first few pairs.
Toby’s catalog includes those from Nike and Adidas, which could be great for beginner runners trying to get a bang-for-your-buck type of pair.

REV*
Another specialty store on our list is REV*, which opened its first Philippine store in Alabang Town Center last June. Another branch in S Maison at Conrad Manila is also on the way, making REV* a good option for runners living in the south.
Among the brands that REV* will carry are PUMA, New Balance, ASICS, and Hoka, to go along with Nike, Adidas, ON Running, and Saucony, giving customers a wide range of shoes and apparel to choose from.
Brand-specific stores
Should you be focused on a particular brand, then that shouldn’t be a problem either, as most of them have set up physical stores here in the Philippines, starting with Nike and Adidas’ longtime presence in the country.
Niche brands, such as Asics and Hoka have branches throughout Metro Manila, while ON Running has set up shop in Taguig by SM Aura on top of their various official distributors.
