Back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back champions and the Gaimin Gladiators still have fewer DPC points than Team Liquid.
‘Unstoppable’ was the only word to describe Gaimin Gladiators as they became the Bali Major champions.
With this victory, the Gladiators have taken all three DPC Majors, for five tier-one tournament championships. Their five consecutive championship wins for the Western Europe squad make it clear that they are, currently, the best Dota 2 team in the world.
The Gladiators’ path to victory had a lukewarm start during the group stage but ramped up as the tournament continued. They took down South America’s beastcoast and the remaining West Europe teams of Tundra Esports and Quest Esports.
It was a classic showdown between Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid in the grand finals, and just like every other time, the Gladiators took it 3-1.
Only two international tournaments stand in Gaimin Gladiators’ way — Riyadh Masters taking place this July and The International 2023 happening later this October. Will the Gladiators’ golden road continue?
We’ll find out soon enough.
