The returning Jungler sees things in a new perspective and is ready to play a bigger role in the team.
It’s the same RSG Philippines but things are different for John “Irrad” Abarquez now that he’s returned from his one-season stint with RRQ Hoshi in Indonesia. He’s grown a lot in the span of six months and so has the team.
“Since nawala ako ng isang season may nag-change talaga in terms of personality [sa team],” said Irrad.
What Irrad means here is that he was a bit of a wildcard back when he first played for RSG. He has the moves to challenge the best Junglers in MPL PH like Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson but not the knowledge if it was what was best for the team.
“I used to say that Irrad has the mechanics to be the best player, just not the maturity,” said RSG Philippines coach Brian “Panda” Chang-rok. “Now that he’s come back more mature, I think he’s ready to be the best.”
When asked how he has matured from his previous iteration with RSG Philippines, Irrad said that “parang bata pa lang ako na sumusunod.
For Irrad, his maturity comes from learning to work with his team so that they all come out on top.
