Experience and Teamwork is What Brought Team Liquid’s KarlTzy’s Fourth MPL Trophy

By Ramon Domingo - June 03, 2025

Sometimes, you only need a few things to come together to make a championship winning team.

It’s another triumph for Team Liquid’s KarlTzy as the Young GOAT adds his fourth MPL championship to his ever growing list of accolades.

Team Liquid has always been a strong contender but they really kicked it up a notch in season 15. Many attribute it to the inclusion of Kiel “Oheb” Q.Soriano, Blacklist International’s former star Gold Laner. But Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno initially had some doubts about one player making that big of a difference.

Nung una, hindi talaga kasi ganun talaga pag may bagong teammate,” said Team Liquid’s KarlTzy. “May hinahanap pa na chemistry. Pero nung pumasok na si Oheb, kita namin na fit-na-fit siya sa team kasi yung playstyle niya sa Blacklist, nadala niya sa amin at nagwo-work.”

But he’s right that a team is more than just one player. Team Liquid on paper is brimming with talented and experienced players. Aside from KarlTzy, Oheb and Roamer Jaypee Dela Cruz also earned their fourth MPL championship. It’s a real star-studded lineup but even then KarlTzy recognized that it wasn’t just experience that helped them win the trophy.

In the end, it came down to the team gelling together quickly and keeping that chemistry together for the entire season. Now, the question is if that will be enough to take the Esports World Cup as well. It’s still a ways away but KarlTzy is confident that everything they’ve learned so far will benefit them when they play in Riyadh.

Sobrang dami yung natutunan namin ngayon at throughout the season so tingin ko na magiging malaking tulong ito para sa amin.
