Everyone was united in our battle cry of Pinas Lang Malakas!

Philippine fans were out in full force last Sunday for the M5 fan and media conference for our representing teams. Held in Ayala Malls Trinoma, the conference was all about building up hype and support for our teams as they charge headfirst into the M5 World Championships happening here in the Philippines.

Carrying the Philippine flag during the M5 World Championships will be AP.Bren and Blacklist International. Both teams were able to take time off of their busy schedules to prepare for the biggest Mobile Legends tournament in the world to say hi to their fans.

During the conference, Moonton Philippines revealed their different initiatives that’ll drum up hype for the M5 and the Philippine teams. They will be releasing special artwork as a homecoming for the returning Filipino imports participating in M5. There will also be a video series called My Letter to You which focuses on the personal stories of the players. They even revealed the Philippines’ M5 theme song, Dugong Paglaban, performed by Maymay Entrata and Shanti Dope.

On top of that, there will be organized nationwide watch parties as well as countdown clock installations. Official M5 merchandise will also be available for sale online, giving fans a chance to really show their support.

Supporting Filipino Esports

As the conference went on, friends and families of the players were given the opportunity to wish them good luck. Even Marlon Marcelo, the Executive Director of the Philippines Esports Organization (PeSO), was there to show his support.

To Marlon, M5 is an opportunity to show the world how the Philippines can become Southeast Asia’s esports capital. “We want to show that Filipinos are very hospitable and that we love esports,” said Marlon in his special message to the fans and players. He knows that win or lose, Pinoys always cheer for the teams and events they love. On a final note, Marlon wished the teams good luck and gave them a simple request, “Panalunin niyo yan!
