The Philippine Mobile Legends dynasty is now well and truly established, as Sibol has pulled off a three-peat in the Mobile Legends SEA Games Tournament.
History was made in Cambodia as the Philippines became the three-time SEA games Mobile Legends Champions. Team Sibol earned their gold medals after a convincing 3-0 sweep against Malaysia in the grand finals.
This is an absolute triumph for the Bren Esports squad, the team representing Sibol, after their fourth-place finish in the season 11 MPL PH playoffs.
This is also long-time veteran Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel’s second SEA Games gold medal after winning it previously in 2019, back when the game debuted as a medal event.
“Sobrang saya din ako sa teammates ko,” says the Sibol Mid Laner to the media, “Na nagkakagold medal kami sa lahat ng paghihirap namin simula season nine.”
With this gold, the Philippines have a total of five medals in the esports division of the 2023 SEA Games.
